One shadow began to move, revealing that its black frame wasn't, in fact, a shadow, but a large canine. It held its head high as it padded across the cement sidewalk toward the back alley of the restaurants, its nails clicking and scraping on the ridged pavement. This was the Alpha of the Militia Pack. He was a large, black, brute of a German Shepherd. He held himself in the iconic pride of his breed. There was still a steel, chain collar around his thick, muscular neck. His long ears were pointed forward, showing that he was not here just for a walk, but for a purpose. Chronos sat in the dark shadow a large dumpster cast, and watched the back doors of the restaurants before him with his deep, brown eyes. Then he began to wait, his mouth closed, in silence. |
